City of Monthey: traffic analysis & monitoring
The city of Monthey in the Chablais agglomeration is growing continously - and with it the traffic volume. SWISSTRAFFIC was commissioned to monitor the total of urban traffic and to map it to a transportation model. This should allow the city to simulate various growth scenarios and their impact on traffic for the next 10 to 20 years.
In order to collect all relations (destination, source and transit connections), SWISSTRAFFIC used the BlueScan technology, which recorded the traffic behaviour in Monthey for one month.
