ISSI Support FEDRO Thun 2016 – 2020
According to the legal mandate, the Thun branch of the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO) wishes to improve the road safety on its road network with regular inspections. The infrastructure safety instruments are to be applied for this. Road safety inspections (RSI) with which hazardous areas are identified and related action measures are prepared, are to be heavily weighted. When requested by the client, SWISSTRAFFIC also offers services relating to the other ISSI instruments (RIA, RSA, BSM, NSM and single-accident management).
As of 2016, the infrastructure branch Thun wishes to inspect its entire network by means of RSI. The goal is a complete inspection completed within 5 years.

Traversing of the road sections under scrutiny day and night: 260 km motorway, 52 junctions, 50 secondary intersections
Photo, video and drone imaging
Identification and description of safety deficits
Evaluation of the safety deficits, types and risk analysis
Recommendations for action measures (short-term, middle-term and long-term)
Conclusions and recommendations
